That right-angle adapter sounds like just the ticket and would be much more compact than carrying the AX1 or AX2. I'm going to think it over for a few days but will probably be making a purchase. My current portable radio is a KX1 and there is something special about using gear that I built myself, but this KH1 looks amazing and I'm giving it some serious consideration. I'm really looking forward to seeing actual in-the-field reviews and videos.
