As others will ask ... when might delivery and shipping be on this device.
And is the architecture anything like the KX3/KX2 So an android
tablet/phone might interface with it? On a 2 month trip to Louisiana and
yes, I have my order in.

That right-angle adapter sounds like just the ticket and would be much
more compact than carrying the AX1 or AX2.  I'm going to think it over
for a few days but will probably be making a purchase.

A huge THANK YOU to Wayne and the Elecraft team for the many years of
great amateur radio products!

We're panning to design a right-angle adapter for the whip. But you could also
use our AX1 or AX2 whips with a BNC-L and an AXB2 bipod.

We're panning to design a right-angle adapter for the whip. But you could also
use our AX1 or AX2 whips with a BNC-L and an AXB2 bipod.

[Elecraft] New KH1

2023-10-21 Thread Paul Huff

I posted this on K4SWL's website but want to repeat it here...

My current portable radio is a KX1 and there is something special about
using gear that I built myself, but this KH1 looks amazing and I'm
giving it some serious consideration.  I'm really looking forward to
seeing actual in-the-field reviews and videos.   My one hesitation is
over the fact that the whip can only be used in a hand-held mode unless
a right-angle connector or some sort of stand could be fabricated.
