Re: [Elecraft] Noise level..?
Why do it any other way? This thread is about as noisy as any of the rest of it. 73, Dick - KA5KKT I use the reflector without emails. No sorting, no filters, no clogged mailbox. I check the list on-line and only click on what holds interest to me. In general, if it doesn't involve the K-Line - I have no interest and just scroll past. Very easy - no technology involved! Re: [Elecraft] Noise level..?
What would be so wrong with setting up a filter to exclude anything not from elecraft.com? I also find willful OT postings to be rude, but a filter is a far simpler solution to your problem than setting up an entirely new mailing list. Re: [Elecraft] Noise level..?
Dave, You could likely build a filter or two to see only messages from Wayne and Eric. 73, Phil W7OX On 4/1/14, 1:17 AM, Dave B wrote: No disrespect to others. Re: [Elecraft] Noise level..?
suggestion, create email filter for you email client, so that all messages to the list are sent to the trash, *EXCEPT* ones from *@elecraft.com p.s. you think this list is bad, don't even think about trying the yahoo Elecraft_K3 list, absolutely dominated by infuriatingly redundant bs -- GB & 73 K5OAI Sam Morgan On 4/1/2014 3:17 AM, Dave B wrote: No disrespect to others. Re: [Elecraft] Noise level..?
I whole heartedly agree with both of you!! You would think the intelligence level of the members of this list could understand this reflector IS NOT the place to post off-topic subjects, but it doesn't seem to matter to those who are inclined to post "look at ME" emails here. Eric recently re-posted the reflector guidelines AGAIN and it did not matter to those few who continue to post off-topic items I kept trying until I now have generated successful Outlook rules that dump everything from the Elecraft reflector that DOES NOT have [ELECRAFT] K3 and [ELECRAFT] P3 in the subject line. So now 90% of my Elecraft reflector emails goes directly to the Trash. The folks who continue to ignore Eric's moderator guidelines, have no respect for other Elecraft users. 73, Tom - W4BQF -Original Message- From: elecraft-boun...@mailman.qth.net [mailto:elecraft-boun...@mailman.qth.net] On Behalf Of Stewart Sent: Tuesday, April 1, 2014 6:49 AM To: Dave B; elecraft@mailman.qth.net Subject: Re: [Elecraft] Noise level..?
