[Elecraft] RE: Ideas - New Elecraft Products

What about a pink K2? Try not thinking about that! Or
perhaps the option of a nice dark red or jet black. Gray is
so, um, elephant.

[Elecraft] RE: Ideas - New Elecraft Products ( Elecraft Digest, Vol 25, Issue 26)

2006-05-25 Thread JONES, George

 A very stimulating thread !

 My thoughts so far :

* A manual ATU(AMU)(Transmatch)- as already suggested - but with Quiet Tune
facility.
(I presume not easily "do-able" with something like the excellent T1...)

* PSK31 (plus some other data modes...) - some kind of smart SW/HW package
either stand-alone
or integrated into a multi-band transceiver, containing the functionality
of TX/RX,digipan-type
display - rather than use a PC..I have thought about my K2 plus a lap-top
on a picnic table but
the lap-top bit is off-putting from "power" and "stuff" considerations.

* A T1 "enhancement" - add an antenna disconnect feature whenever the T1
is in the CW Status reporting
mode. This would solve the problem of even just band noise obscuring the
weak status
report signal when needed.
(Actually a Sierra/T1 integration issue, but I think of wider interest)
