Interesting idea. I think I have one of those speakers. I'm going to try mounting it in a small metal utility box that, with rubber feet, should be about the same height as the KX-1. If I can get the phone plug mounted in the right place it would plug right in. Conceivable to even put an lm380 type amp in there with a couple of AA batteries. But first, see if there is enough energy the way it is.

The speaker measures 1.38" x .634" x .29". I just soldered the speaker

I now can just plug-in my speaker to listen without headphones. I'll
