[Elecraft] Was Re: KX3 Fixed Ops- now: KXPA100 preliminary details
Has a price range been determined. Size is similar to a lot VHF brick amps. Although, I may not get the KX3, I may get the KXPA-100 for my FT-817. In fact I can see the KXPA-100 being attractive to FT-817 owners (especially with ATU). I am thinking of this for mobile HF/6m vs in the home shack. I actually have the PA from a TS-50 mobile HF rig but packaging it into a working PA looks messy so it has remained shelved (and may get e-bayed). 73, Ed - KL7UW, WD2XSH/45 == BP40IQ 500 KHz - 10-GHz www.kl7uw.com EME: 50-1.1kw?, 144-1.4kw, 432-100w, 1296-testing*, 3400-? Speaking of the KXPA100, I've not seen any information as to projected size and weight of it. The KXPA100 will probably weigh less than 5 pounds. So, a KX3 and KXPA100 could both fit into a large manpurse/laptop bag, for circumventing carry-on weight limitations!
