[Elecraft] Zip heavy, flexible paired wire

2013-09-08 Thread Rose
The PowerWerx red/back paired wire ---is--- together,
exactly like zip-cord and can be easily un-zipped.

True, but it's not nearly as flexible as the silicone, high conductor
count 'spaghetti' wire. I already have a roll of the powerwerx
red/black paired wire.

That isn't the same stuff. Let's compare the number of strands and the gauge of
the strands for 8 gauge wire.

Powerwerx zip cable: 133/30
Powerwerx flex cable: 616/36

Yes, the zip cable is flexible, but not as much as the other cable.

Ken is quite right. I have a bunch of that stuff and it's what Elecraft
supplies for 12V power cords with Anderson Power Pole connectors attached.

To me, it's about a flexible as the heavy duty brown zip cord one finds at
the hardware store, which is fairly flexible, but I believe it has larger
conductors.
