Re: [Elecraft] Sneak Preview: New Elecraft products - What?
I've been having a great time with my office K3 and K144XV on the local 2M FM repeaters. Surprised a few locals when I told them I was on a K3.. Its going to be a super option. 73, Eric WA6HHQ (Just getting to sleep at Dayton after traveling 18 hrs.) One gets the impression, Eric's office is more like a home, considering how much time he and Wayne must spend there ! 73 de M0XDF, K3 #174 -- They know enough who know how to learn. -Henry Adams (1838-1918) On 14 May 2009, at 15:14, Ken Alexander wrote: I've been having a great time with my office K3 and K144XV on the local 2M FM repeaters. Re: [Elecraft] Sneak Preview: New Elecraft products - What?
Eric, All of the people at Elecraft are doing a fine job. The several times that I have called have always been a good experience, even the times that I called with something that I overlooked and should have been able to solve myself. Thanks to everyone out there for a quality product and fine service. We all are eagerly waiting for the next piece of equipment to be developed and manufactured because we know it will complement what we have in quality as well as reliability. This not a very kind comment. Guess what...they are running their own business! They can do what they want. I think it is great they have a nice watt meter for sale - and the two meter option is great too. Who needs a stinkin' panadapter? I make Qs without one. Gee, can you whiny type guys give Wayne and Eric a break? I find this comment to be unfair and just noise to the reflector. Try griping to the President and CEO of Yaesu, Kenwood, or Icom.. You won't get far. Tuning off frequency now. Lee - K0WA Do you want some cheese with that Whine? From: Fern c...@cyberlink.bc.ca I much agree that a panadapter would or should have been on their priority list rather than what they've just announced especially the wattmeter portion. Re: [Elecraft] Sneak Preview: New Elecraft products - What?
IMO Steve and others are correct, not 'whiny types' at all. I am also disappointed in their announcement. I find it hard to believe that people are actually complaining. Good grief! :-( There are lots of amps to buy. There's already a Panadapter solution. But there's only one integrated 2M adapter for the K3. I guess everyone has an opinion and an , or wishes they were a member of the Board's Product Committee ... or at least wants to believe they are already a member ...
