Re: [Emc-developers] Status of cradek/joints_axes7

2015-05-15 Thread Curtis Dutton
Ok great. Ive been slowly getting my head wrapped around the code and plan
on contributing. We are dead smack in the middle to moving into a new shop.
After that settles down I have a one line fix to get my feet wet.

I do have 2 limit switches on my machine. They have adjustable screws on
them to hit the limits at roughly the same time. The gantry is a little
flexible so the homing hasnt been a problem. I could forsee a feature for
sycronizing joints that are mapped to a single axis since emc is now
aware of those mappings in the ini file. I remember there was a
discussion about that not too long ago.

I think it is just waiting for people to have time to test and fix it, and

 better
than I, and I'm sure bug fixes and help is always welcome!

The way I understand it they have be doing a rebase instead of merging, and
creating a new branch with the number at the end incremented by one to do
 the
 rebase in.

I plan on doing some of that when I get time, especially because I run
 gantry
machines. Do you have 2 homes switches on your gantry?

Is this a feature set that is planned for merge into master at some time

I've been using it for a few months now and I have a little bug fix.

I'm also wondering when it needs a merge from master. I'm willing to help
contribute to it since it is a huge improvement in usability when using
  gantrykins.

  Thanks,
