GSM and PSTN modules included in products
Hello all, Do you know what are the EMC/Radio and safety requirements for products including GSM and/or PSTN modules (already certified modules) for United States and Canada ? Where can I find such information (related links) ? Many thanks for your help, Pierre Selva This message is from the IEEE Product Safety Engineering Society emc-pstc discussion list. RE: VCCI cost
Gary and group, I was asked not so long ago to raise a purchase order for our membership of VCCI The fee we paid is 205,000 JPY (Japanese yen) which equates to about £1000 or $2000. As I seem to remember they insist that it is paid in japanese yen. As you can imagine, getting a 205,000 Yen bill signed off involved some explaination of the exchange rates! Hope this helps. I’m remembering $2k or something of that nature. Large companies pay more – theoretically based on the number of test reports submitted. standards applicable for media device fitted on a taxi (cab)
Dear All, I am wondering what are the relevant standards for the automobile industry in your part of the world, namely Europe, USA, Canada, Australia, Korea and Japan for media device using digital technology fitted in a taxi? It is like a laptop without the keypad. If you don't mind the long wait I have a 125MB video file. RE: Declaration of Conformity - Clarification Needed
In a previous life we interpreted person responsible for placing on the market as the VP of Marketing. He got _real_ nervous if the product didn't have engineering's full and enthusiastic blessing after that. In my time here, we have bounced this responsibility around a little. We have used various people, such as: the CEO, General Manager and/or Vice President of Engineering.
