If the equipment is, as you say, not lifesaving, marine pollution, fire 
protection, navigation equipment, radio communication, only normal 
regulations/directives (EMC, LVD, RoHS) should apply.

For Wheelmarking and type approval for Classification societies as DNV/GL, ABS, 
LR, etc., there might be additional testing as vibration, climate, mechanical, 
and more.

If the ships are classified, you may need to consider the rules for
classification of ships, such as those Lloyd's, Bureau Veritas, etc.
