Re: Chart of EMC standards !!!!!

1997-12-15 Thread Kevin Harris
Dear Members,

In my posting on this subject, Friday just past, I criticised Gert Gremmen
in a fairly rude manner after surfing his website and found an automatic
form operating in the background that grabbed information from my PC. It did
not occur to me that Mr. Gremmen could have been the recipient of some poor
webpage design advise and had in fact removed this feature from his page
earlier, but in updating his pages he had inadvertently restored the feature
on December the 1st. I have taken Mr. Gremmen at his word on this matter,
taking note that he has corrected the problem without delay.

Regards,

Kevin Harris

Hey Group,

This unethical jerk's web page causes your PC to spew information to him (it
simulates a form) when you access his pages. Is this the same person that
somebody warned about browsing earlier?
I guess we all know now who not to use for constancy or testing in the
Netherlands

Regards to all but Gert Gremmen,

Kevin Harris

P.S. What do the moderators think? Is this just cause for removal of this
individual from the group?

Dear members,

May I draw your attention to the web site below, it has a list of
so-called harmonized standards per sept 97, to be used for ce-marking.

It is a large list, and listing the scope of each standard would be to much
asked.

If any questions stay, don not hesitate to ask me

Another source of standards information can be found on the web at

"DGIII's reference to harmonized standards" www2.echo.lu/nasd

Be careful of the date of the update (which is displayed on the page).
They have a tendency to let it fall behind. At the moment it is fairly
current. Also be careful of the list that was attached previously to
these e-mails. The values shown in the right hand column appear to be
the test lab's capabilities. They are not the limits defined in the
standards.

Another source of information is Compliance Engineering magazine. The
lists there are generally more descriptive of limits and scope.

Happy hunting!

Attached is a chart, in WordPerfect 6.1 format. You should also be able
to
read it with other word processors. For the life of me, I can't
remember
how this file materialized on my computer. It might possibly be from
CSA's
EMC lab in Toronto, but I'm not sure. Obviously, I can't attest to its
accuracy, but I hope this helps you.
