For those who are interested in a few words from the newly elected Secretary of National Product Safety Technical Committee (NPSTC), please read on.
Many of you may who are in EMC, may also be in product safety. You may also be part of the local safety group within your area. I would like to start a Secretaries group listing. This request is not limited to just the transcribers, but to all officers and members who perform the secretarial duties of the local chapter. As the main focal point for interchapter communication and to promote interchapter exchanges, I would like to build a list of all the local chapters secretaries with the following information: 1) Chapter name 2) Name 3) Position 4) Work name/address 5) work phone #, work fax #, e-mail I am also encouraging the chapter secretaries to document their meetings and send them to me, fax or e-mail. The plan would be to collate the minutes of meetings for mass mailings to those that are on the list. Two things would then be accomplished. One, interchapter communication coming from a central point (no editing of the minutes) and second, start of interchapter exchanges if one chapter wants to follow-up with another chapter's ideas or events. Another objective for the NPSTC is to identify common interest, address PSTC newsletter issues and develop website options. I hope that you would take a few minutes and respond with the above information and most importantly, your comments.
