Re: The technical side - yahoo emc group
Robert, I agree about the spammers, that is why I have it set up with restricted access and hidden email addresses. Also, I don't allow attachments. Bob Richards. Robert A. The amount of spam I receive skyrockets everytime I try to communicate over that group. - Robert - On Thu, 3 Feb 2005 20:00:53 -0800 (PST) Bob Richards wrote: Weston, There is http://groups.yahoo.com/group/emctech which covers EMC testing. Re: The technical side - yahoo emc group
Hi Robert: Adding to your comments on spammers... All incoming e-mail to the IEEE is scanned for both spam and viruses. Both are effective. If you have an IEEE alias, you know how effective they are! In addition, our listserver does not distribute messages from non-subscribers. This is double-protection against spam. Our subscriber list is not available to non-subscribers. I'm not sure our subscriber list is available to our subscribers -- only to our list administrators. So, if you get spam, virus, phishers, etc., they did not get your address from us!
