I agree about the spammers, that is why I have it set up with restricted
access and hidden email addresses. Also, I don't allow attachments.

Adding to your comments on spammers...

All incoming e-mail to the IEEE is scanned for both spam
and viruses.  Both are effective.  If you have an IEEE
alias, you know how effective they are!

In addition, our listserver does not distribute messages
from non-subscribers.  This is double-protection against
spam.

Our subscriber list is not available to non-subscribers.
I'm not sure our subscriber list is available to our
subscribers -- only to our list administrators.

So, if you get spam, virus, phishers, etc., they did not
get your address from us!
