Paul Keeton wrote: Dave you are correct, That was what I said. In one email I kicked around the idea of removing the encoders from the motors and installing OEM tachs and the installing scales or separate encoders on the machine mechanics to track position. The US digital box seems like the way to go but I am still taking input from all of you. You all have been a big help. Dave Rather than adding separate encoders, you might consider adding separate tachs as Jon Elson did. See the third photo down at this link: http://pico-systems.com/CNCconv.html I would look at someplace like Surplus Center for some small DC motors that could be used as tachs. Re: [Emc-users] Coppercam
Mark, Searching for schematic editor doesn't find it, but searching for schematics editor returns three pages. Searching for schematic does return the page. Apparently, the search engine uses exact phrase matching by default, rather than parsing the search string into two search terms. I got no results when entering the search string with quotes. Jim Mark wrote: Wierd. The options there looks a bit crude compared with coppercam. It seems like I will have to use windows for this as there are no viable Linux alternatives. Jim Register wrote: admin, Perhaps this will be easier for you. Go to the link below, and look for circuit board, without the quotes. The wiki search function returns that page as one of the three hits. There are a couple of scripts for circuit board milling - neither is a drop in replacement for CopperCam, as far as I know. http://wiki.linuxcnc.org/cgi-bin/emcinfo.pl?Cam Hope you find this satisfactory. -- ___ Emc-users mailing list Emc-users@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/emc-users

Back the plunger out, poke a hole in the side of the syringe, then slide that into a small T with o-rings top and bottom for a rotary coupling. The syringe body would make an insulated holder. I did read the information pointed out here (section 5.4 of the manual), and there is some thing I can understand: What is index pulse?. I have brushless servos with quadrature encoders. Is the index pulse signal the one from the quadrature encoder, or is it a different signal (the one coming for hal sensors, something entirely different, or something that can be arbitrarily assigned within EMC, or..)???. Javier, The index pulse would come from the simulated encoder on the 631 servo drive, on the X40 pins labeled Z and /Z. Jim - Using Tomcat but need to do more? Need to support web services, security?
