I already made one that I think will work, bore a 20mm hole and 
superglue it into the plastic box.


OpenSCAD is pretty easy to learn, even at my age. ;o)

And I just redesigned the box to make room for the filament end sensor. 
Otherwise its going to
be quite difficult to feed a new spool of plastic to it. Its unhandy at 
best with this printer.
I'll probably move the spool holder to someplace where I can get to it 
from in front of it,

somewhere in this project.
