Re: [Emu] Call for agenda items
Hi Joe, I’d like us to discuss the use of EAP-TLS with TLS 1.3 as well as strategies on how to avoid fragmentation due to large certificates and certificate chains in all versions of EAP-TLS. I plan to submit a new version of draft-mattsson-eap-tls13. Cheers, John ___ Emu mailing list Emu@ietf.org https://www.ietf.org/mailman/listinfo/emu

Re: [Emu] Call for Agenda items
Hi Sam, Thank you for this support. I am going to publish this draft as informational document I will attend to this next EMU WG meeting in Paris Regards Pascal 2012/3/15 Sam Hartman hartmans-i...@mit.edu Pascal == Pascal Urien pascal.ur...@gmail.com writes: Pascal Hi Sam EMU meansEAP Method Update. Hi. Thanks for the clarification. It turns out I'm reasonably familiar with the history of the EMU and EAP working groups. I remain confused. If you are ready to publish your draft, why do you need to present it to anyone? Based on my understanding of your document, you can simply ask the RFC editor to publish your draft as an informational document. Doing that is almost certainly the most efficient process for getting your document published. Again, I think it would be a great idea to see this work published. ___ Emu mailing list Emu@ietf.org https://www.ietf.org/mailman/listinfo/emu

Pascal == Pascal Urien pascal.ur...@gmail.com writes: Pascal The goal of the presentation at the IETF 83 in Paris is to Pascal push this draft as an Informational RFC. Hi. I'm glad you want to publish this work as an RFC because I believe it's valuable and I'd like to see it an archival form. I'm supportive of efficiently publishing it as an RFC. I remaind confused because I don't understand how presenting the draft again to EMU will help that. Are you hoping that emu will adopt the document and we'll publish an informational rfc through emu? If so, I'm confused because I don't think that's in our charter. If you're hoping for an informational RFC not through EMU (either independent stream or IETF stream), how does the presentation help your goal? ___ Emu mailing list Emu@ietf.org https://www.ietf.org/mailman/listinfo/emu

Re: [Emu] Call for Agenda items
Hi Sam EAP Support in Smartcard targets an Informational RFC. The first version was released in 2002 and presented at the IETF 55th in Atlanta., last version (http://tools.ietf.org/html/draft-urien-eap-smartcard-22) was issued in January 2012. Today many implementations (EAP-SIM, EAP-AKA , EAP-TLS) of this draft are working in Secure Elements, with or without NFC connectivity. The goal of the presentation at the IETF 83 in Paris is to push this draft as an Informational RFC. Regards Pascal 2012/3/13 Sam Hartman hartmans-i...@mit.edu Hi. I'm confused. Re: [Emu] Call for agenda items for IETF
I'd very much like to discuss the changes to the channel binding draft. The highest level item is whether we're going in the right direction. I'd also like to come to closure on Alan's comment about whether we want each AVP split out or whether we want to reuse more of the RADIUS/whatever encoding and have one blob per namespace. ___ Emu mailing list Emu@ietf.org https://www.ietf.org/mailman/listinfo/emu

Dear Alan DeKok, We are negotiating with our IP (Intellectual Property) department for the royal-free license of the specification (described in draft-shin-augmented-pake-00) and we expect the IPR disclosure will be completed before the meeting. I know you already sent agenda items for IETF77 EMU WG. Could you please let me know if there is a chance for us to present our work? Have a nice day! Dear Alan DeKok, I'm Shin. I submitted the below I-D (00) and want to introduce our work. Could you please let me know if it is possible for me to present our work in emu WG? Filename:draft-shin-augmented-pake Revision:00 Title: Most Efficient Augmented Password-Only Authentication and Key Exchange Creation_date: 2010-03-01 WG ID: Independent Submission Number_of_pages: 14 Abstract: This document describes an efficient augmented password-only authentication and key exchange (AugPAKE) protocol where a user remembers a low-entropy password and its verifier is registered in the intended server. In general, the user password is chosen from a small set of dictionary whose space is within the off-line dictionary attacks. The AugPAKE protocol described here is secure against passive attacks, active attacks and off-line dictionary attacks (on the obtained messages with passive/active attacks), and also provides resistance to server compromise (in the context of augmented PAKE security).
