Hi Everyone, The deadline for their campaign is coming soon. At this point, speed is paramount. Can we have a deadline for posting this please? Re: Statement of support for the SFC's campaign
Thanks for continuing the work on this! Looking at the evolution of the draft, I see that there was this opening sentence that was removed: > The GNOME community dedicated the last 18 years to building a > cohesive desktop experience for our users. We have created a library > of work that is found not only in our desktop but also in various > other important software and hardware. It seemed okay/nice-to-have, so I'm just curious to hear the reasoning for removing it?___ engagement-list mailing list engagement-list@gnome.org https://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/engagement-list

To shorten the story, based on a feedback/call to do so. Its basically a open question whether the initial sentence should be included or not. -- -mvh Oliver Propst ___ engagement-list mailing list engagement-list@gnome.org https://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/engagement-list

Statement of support for the SFC's campaign
Hi all, It would be nice of us to make a public statement of support for the SFC's campaign* to raise funds for their continued existence and their legal battle to uphold the GPL (against infringement by VMWare)**. The FSF has made such a blog post already***. I discussed with the board, and they'd like the engagement team to send an announcement to that effect, also using our social media outlets. It should happen sooner rather than later, as there is a window of opportunity there: donations made until January 31st will be matched up by PIA and thus count twice.
