Oops. Permissions problem on the install directory. Let me try that
again.

 Packages that build OK:

On the other hand, this could be a worry. Hmm, it defaulted to not
actually building any of the utils, so nothing to install. Most of them
are obsolete anyway. Should I enable the building of any of these, or
just put the whole lot in the skip list?

[E-devel] Proposed patch for imlib2-1.4.0: png fix

2007-08-22 Thread Brian Lindholm
I recently upgraded from libpng-1.2.18 to the newly released
libpng-1.2.19 on my Intel Debian 4.0 box. Things seemed to work okay,
except that grayscale images were rendered in shades of BLUE instead of
shades of gray. [The same effect did *not* happen on a Sparc Solaris 8
box. It worked properly.] I ended up reworking the PNG transformation
calls in the loader_png.c routine. It was primarily a re-ordering of
the routines, to call them in the same order that they're described in
the libpng documentation.

These changes appear to have resolved the problem. I've tested them on
both the Intel Debian 4.0 box and the Sparc Solaris 8 box. Patched is
attached. [The patch also contains spelling corrections and a couple of
innocuous whitespace tweaks. I probably should have separated them into
a separate patch, but I ran out of steam last night. Sorry.]

[E-devel] Proposed patch for imlib2-1.4.0 #2: Solaris 8 support

2007-08-22 Thread Brian Lindholm
Solaris 8 doesn't have a round function and keeps rgb.txt in a different
place. The attached patch addresses both these issues for Solaris.

Sorry to bother you, I'm not even using c++ bindings yet, however
wouldn't be better to have namespaces, even nested to avoid ugly names
as EcoreEvasWindowSoftwareX11?

IMHO efl::ecore::evas::WindowSoftwareX11 is better, and u can simple
remove namespaces if desired.

In the python bindings I use namespaces extensively, like
ecore.evas.SoftwareX11.

Perhaps I'm not able to find the option to place modules on the
desktop. Or is this a not desired feature? Please give at least a short
 explanation. Thanks!

 Andreas
This bug was closed because it is an enchancement that is not going to
happen. I thought I left a comment there...hmm. At any rate, this is no
longer possible with e17. There used to be the gadman code in e17 todo
this, but raster has removed it. IIRC he said that it was not coming back.

Oops. Permissions problem on the install directory. Let me try
  that again.

   Packages that build OK:
   e_utils,

On the other hand, this could be a worry. Hmm, it defaulted to not
actually building any of the utils, so nothing to install. Most of
them are obsolete anyway. Should I enable the building of any of
these, or just put the whole lot in the skip list?

 skip.

Skipped.

 Hello,

currently it's only possible to place modules in the panels. I
remember the time when it was possible to place modules free in size
and position on the desktop background. This was a great feature.

 - Why was this feature removed?

 - Will it come back?

Why was this bug closed without any explanation?

Hi! I just have a think to that, you could said that's wrong or not ;) I
just said that from my user side.
But why shelves couldn't have an option to be placed not only on
screen's edges ?

If i remenber, Mo0m spoke me about that some times ago, and i'm agree
with him, that's could be amazing.
I'm agree with raster too, gadgets under windows is *not really* fun.
But peoples like me think that ibar, pager and ibox
are sweet contained under shelves, but a rss feed (like erss), a mail
info box, a weather or a clock modules could get
a place under windows.

To conclude, i just want to know what a free placement option is so
deprecated ?
