[E-devel] Re: Bugs on e16 CVS
JC Wong wrote: I would like to report some bugs as for today CVS committal. Basically, the conclusion of the bugs is comparing base on the result of e16 compiled with both imlib1 and imlib2. 1) Error while 'make install' Making install in po make[1]: Entering directory `/home/catalyst/CVS/e16/e/po' /bin/sh `case ".././mkinstalldirs" in /*) echo ".././mkinstalldirs" ;; *) echo "../.././mkinstalldirs" ;; esac` /usr/share ../.././mkinstalldirs: ../.././mkinstalldirs: No such file or directory make[1]: *** [install-data-yes] Error 127 make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/catalyst/CVS/e16/e/po' make: *** [install-recursive] Error 1 The above error same for both compiling option. This must be some auto*/gettext issue, I don't see this problem. Did you run ./autogen.sh before configure? 2) When starting E for the first time, default background image refused to load or update. What I got here is a Xserver default bg without image. Restarting Enlightenment sort the problem. Note: THis bug only appear for imlib2 only. And I start with the new ~/.enlightenment as well. Yes, there is a problem with backgrounds. 3) Middle-click --> About Enlightenment, enlightenment default logo About disappear. This issue only on imlib2 only. OK, I see that too. 4) I suspect atm imlib2 got a very poor handling on transparent window. Exec transp Eterm with Eterm -O --> Setting --> Desktop Background Settings.Noticed that Eterm transp lost focus,no bg and the snapshot default bg on the Desktop Background Settings box disappear as well, reselecting the prefer bg wont solve the Eterm transp problem I have to logout from X and restart. Note: THis issue only appear with imlib2 only,no problem with imlib1. I suspect this is related to 2). The problem is hardly in imlib2 (but in my port). 5) Iconbar Settings --> Transparent background.Try minimise what ever windows now, you'll noticed that Iconbox give 'solid' bg rather then transparent.Maximise the app/window and Iconbox on transp again. I discover some themes give dark bg and even flickering color after minimise the app. Note: This problem happened on both imlib1 and imlib2 OK, iconbox trouble as well... Is it required to nuke the old .enlightenment when moving to imlib2 ? I did the switch this morning, and restarting e16 worked fine. Re: [E-devel] [e16 bug report] xclock escapes manual window placement

I just tried this, so here's a little more detail: When "Place Windows Manually" is enabled, starting xclock from a terminal causes the mouse to move the terminal *and* xclock windows. When xclock is closed, so is the terminal. Starting more xclock sessions from the same terminal works, but starting a new terminal and running xclock produces the wrong behavior again. After more testing I notice that the actual term gets the placement on the first run and on most subsequent runs. xclock gets some of them. Strange stuff. Hmmm - cute :) If I add "XClock.input: true" to .Xdefaults, the problem goes away. I guess this belongs somewhere in the focus bug department. /Kim --- This SF. No. But if you switch back to the 0.16.6 release, you probably want to remove configuration item 354 from .enlightenment/...e_session-XX. /Kim --- This SF. [E-devel] Edje ignores "min" property?
Hi folks, I'm currently trying to improve the default eplayer theme: When a playlist entry's "title" part is clicked twice, I want to emit a signal. The group the "title" part is in consists of two parts, the other one is the "length" part. The "title" is aligned to the left edge, whereas the "length" part lives at the right edge. In ePlayer, I create an instance of the group by calling edge_object_add() and add it to my playlist container. Now the problem is: When the string that's put in the "title" part is so small that it doesn't cover all the space up to the "length" part, I cannot get Edje to emit my signal when the user clicks that space - since it doesn't belong neither to the "title" part nor to the "length" part. What's the best way to make the "title" part consume a certain amount of space? I know Edje offers a "min" field in the "description" entity, but it seems it doesn't work in my case. I can see no difference when I put "min" in. Should the "min" property do what I need? Is there another way to do this? -- Regards, Tilman --- This SF. Re: [E-devel] Edje ignores "min" property?
In the playlist group, create a clear rectangle on top that emits the relevant signal. -- brian On Nov 17, 2003, at 11:37 AM, Tilman Sauerbeck wrote: Hi folks, I'm currently trying to improve the default eplayer theme: When a playlist entry's "title" part is clicked twice, I want to emit a signal.
