[e-users] stability of Enlightenment File Manager ?

2007-12-17 Thread GiGGz
Hi,

I search a good and fast file manager. At the moment I'm using pcmanfm.
But it has some bugs and segfaults in certains cases. So my question is
simple : what about the Enlightenment File Manager ? it looks like very
pretty! but the warning message don't use it now frightens me. So I
ask the users of the EFM : are they problems with it ? What kind of
problem ? Is it now stable...

Thanks
Regards,
Guillaume

Guillaume,

The file manager with E DR17 is far from completed. There are several
functions that do not work. I am unsure of my latest compile date (as I'm
not sitting at the machine as I type this) but move, copy, delete for the
most part work. Opening with applications/editing file association works
on a case by case basis. The project team would have a better list of what
works and what doesn't. You want to check out the bug-tracker; trac and the
lastest updates at www.enlightenment.org. I still use CLI for all file
management if you are curious.

So now it works. I did update some files, so I'm guessing a bug was fixed.
