[e-users] enlightenment freeze on efm open

2019-02-03 Thread Vasiliy Tolstov
Hi. I'm use fedora with:
enlightenment-devel-0.22.4-1.fc29.x86_64
enlightenment-data-0.22.4-1.fc29.noarch
enlightenment-0.22.4-1.fc29.x86_64
efl-1.21.1-1.fc29.x86_64
efl-devel-1.21.1-1.fc29.x86_64

each time when i'm open efm it window freezes and i can't click on
another window or close opened. after i'm restart enlightenment via
start menu->enlightenment->restart all works fine
after some time when i'm open efm again this issue appears again.

does it known issue and have fix, if not - how can i debug why this
happened? dmesg does not says anything about errors.

Thanks for answer! I can use obs builded packages if you provide it
for fedora releases and if you build it with wayland support.

 there

So, if i disable fading, and all composite effects, i don't have this issue?

It depends on what you're using to start X server...
Do you use a display manager (DM) to start X server?
In which case... I have nothing for you.

I'm using plain console login to start X server with an optional
logout and X screen locker with simple apps..
Check it out over here https://github.com/tokiclover/dotfiles if
 interested.

[NOTE: Notice that I am using old GNOME-Color-Manager[-2.x] to
load custom ICC devices profiles. Version 3 is not that practicable...
So, remove the offending line and uncomment xcalib line if need be.]

[Similarly, I use ACPId to manage brightness ( power/disk) profile
when AC adapter is plug in or not with a bash script
https://github.com/tokiclover/hprofile in the same fashion (DM/WM free.)]

 Good luck!

Hm... I think you use some systemd magic to get all woking... shell scripts
not my case =(

building procedure for e17 seems to be very complicated), I decided to
use the packages which are in the official debian unstable repository
(e17 0.17.3). I have aptosid installed in that laptop.

Everything seems to be running fine besides connman - or to be more
precise econnman. I have installed connman and connmand is running (as I
can see from /etc/init.d/connman status), but I can nowhere find the
 econnman module.

 Any ideas?

 TIA.

Is this ppa compatible with debian?

Generally speaking, it is said that adding ubuntu ppas in debian is not
a good idea.. But if this particular one would cause no problem to a
debian installation, then I would be more than glad to use it! :-)

Hmm build package from source based on my package from ppa =)

  Any ideas for that?

why not just copy the config dirs around? :)

 Personal preference ;)
After using enlightenment for a few years I had some some problems with
config file being lost/ corrupted. so creating a full set of
configuration in one run sounds like a real benefit ;)

Re: [e-users] EConnMan issue

2013-06-02 Thread Vasiliy Tolstov
I'm running 13.04 too and use this ppa and all works fine. I think you
missed some points when install packages.

2013/6/2 Gareth Bult gar...@linux.co.uk:
Ok, I might stop at this point. I'm not using the PPA's because the current
 PPA's
don't work for Ubuntu 13.04, at least not on either of my machines. Both
 enlightenment
and terminology report unknown symbols, which is an error I've see on the
 forums for
 older versions of Enlightenment.

I've just re-added the PPA and installing EConnman is going to pull in lots
 of stuff that's
going to break my now working installation(s). (which are built mostly
 successfully from source)

I've also tried the SVN PPA and had the same problems.

I suspect there is some sort of conflict between the PPA's and the version of
 E17 now available
from Ubuntu .. the latter I unfortunately installed first. I think the
 solution may be to remove
all associated packages, then install the PPA, then re-install, but I don't
 have a complete list,
and I've tried to guess but failed.

 Hi,

I've just installed Enlightenment on my laptop and have it mostly working ,
 bar the same issue with
tyls -m and no players available. Being a laptop it's on a WiFi
 connection and I have a new issue;

I've managed to follow the connman instructions and have a working connman
 wifi connection but
when I try to use the EConnman applet I've run into trouble. Clicking on the
 wifi widget gives me
a list of available connections, but as soon as I click configure I get
 the error;

This module wants to execute an external application EConnMan that does not
 exist
 Please install EConnMan application

I'm guessing this is simply a configuration issue (it's an Ubuntu 13.04
install) , is there a program I need
to put into a specific path to make this work ???

[I'm guessing as the Wifi connection is working, everything is actually
 installed ... ??]

 Gareth.

Not an expert to put it mildly but get impression you don't have much
chance unless you use the 'easy' script, incidentally it's been turned into
 a Debian package.

Believe the developers use this script.

Ok i'm try to investigate this script and do all needed things inside
package system.
