Thanks a lot, pressing Enter really works.

2014-01-09 Thread Todd Hought
Yep, I'm seeing the exact same thing, the clicks don't register on an
displays beyond the first one.

Also of note is that e segfaults on startup with a second monitor, but then
recovers every time. Haven't recompiled to get the debug yet tho, so that's
untraceable right now.

2014-01-09 Thread Austin Morgan
If you press enter instead of click to select the menu option it will
work. There have been a few reports of this, but since 18 was already
out I don't think there has been much effort in correcting this. This
also only happens on multi-monitor setups.

[e-users] Menus don't work in E 0.17.5

2014-01-09 Thread Christoph Rissner
Hi all,

I have a strange issue with E 0.17.5 on my desktop where some menus
(desktop, the "Start" menu) display properly (including sub menus) but
just don't react when selecting an entry (start an application,
restart/poweroff the computer, show enlightenments about box).
Apparently nothing happens.

I couldn't find anything in the logs (.xsession-errors, systemd journal)
indicating what's wrong.
I tried removing my .e directory and setup E anew but that didn't help.

Also this only happens on my desktop machine (which has a triple head
setup) but not on any other of my machines (which are all single headed).

I know E 0.17.5 has been superseded recently with 0.17.6 but
unfortunately my distro (archlinux) still provides only 0.17.5.
Downgrading to 0.17.4 resolves this problem, but I don't wanna stay
there forever :)

Is this a known problem? Is there anything I can do to investigate further?

Thanks,
Christoph
