Re: [Mozilla Enterprise] No sound on websites with 78esr

2020-08-21 Thread Mike Kaply
A couple more thoughts.

Have you modified any sandbox preferences:?

In about:config, check security.sandbox.content.level

Does it work in safe mode or a new profile?

Would you be willing to use mozregression to figure out when it started?

It should be the next step. When you click OK, it should open a file dialog (If
you've required the user to pick a destination when saving)

Do you have Always ask checked?

When you select Save File, it brings up a file dialog, though, right?

So can't you change the extension there?

options are to open with Excel or save the file with the defective extension.
I ruled out a policy as the possible cause. I thought there was a file you can
edit to control the MIME association, but I believe that is no longer a feature
based on
https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Mozilla/How_Mozilla_determines_MIME_Types#ExternalHelperAppService.
We have Firefox configured to always ask where to save files to guard against
“drive by downloads” and the application handler has “Always ask” set for .xls
files. The file that is downloaded is not available via an URL to right-click
and select Save As which will let you change the filename.

Am I overlooking a document that might assist in changing Firefox so that it
allows the end user to change the filename when saving a file? What if I
didn’t want to name all my files this bizarre ps.xls name? 8-)

[Mozilla Enterprise] No sound on websites with 78esr

2020-08-21 Thread Malte Riemer
Hi,

I have problems with my sound since I am testing Firefox Version 78esr.
My Version I use ist 78.1.0esr.

I can try youtube, spotify or anything else. There's no sound. I also
uninstalled and cleared the Firefox-profile etc. but without any effect.

When I use the 68esr-Version, there is no problem.

When I switch on the debugger and look into the console on several pages I can
find this error:

[cid:image001.png@01D677BC.524048F0]

Maybe the cause of the problem?

I don't use the private mode.
We have some group policies for deleting cookies and cache data when closing
the firefox and some other stuff.

Has anybody else the same problem?

Thanks
Malte

Ok, setting "LegacyProfiles" in Group Policy to TRUE should solve my
