Re: EPEL getting terminus-fonts added to 7
This requirement seems to be just in the fedora spec file -- it doesn't seem to be part of the upstream. From the man page, this is set with the '-fn' flag at runtime. I didn't look at xmonad, but there's nothing inherently in dmenu which seems to need it. I removed terminus-fonts with --nodeps from a test system, and it seems to run fine maybe that's an easier solution? Right I also put that idea to Christopher. I am not really sure why dmenu requires terminus-fonts in particular: though it does need some bitmap font to be installed to work. Re: EPEL getting terminus-fonts added to 7
Hi Christopher, Quite frankly, it's no needed as a MUST. You could let users to install. When I claimed over this package months ago, it's already there. I could drop this requires, but I need time to verify the conf file and make sure dmenu works still(no major changes in the display). Unfortunately, I don't have time now. Sure, I think it is not urgent and would suggest doing it initially just for Rawhide and I don't think it is something that has to be backported, but in the long term it probably makes sense to drop the explicit requires. I updated terminus-fonts to 4.39 for F22 and F21 earlier today, it could be backported later perhaps if necessary. Re: EPEL Orphan or retire the TurboGears (v1) stack in 7
Hi Toshio, I have just noticed this message after I failed to install TurboGears (v1) on CentOS 7. We really need the TurboGears (v1) support via epel for el7. Migrating away from TurboGears V1 to V2 or to other framework seems impossible for us at the moment, though we know that we will have to migrate in future. Could you help to suggest what we could do to revive these packages and have epel7 will still support TurboGears( v1 )? -- Best Regards Jacky -Original Message- From: epel-devel-boun...@lists.fedoraproject.org [mailto:epel-devel-boun...@lists.fedoraproject.org] On Behalf Of Toshio Kuratomi Sent: Saturday, 21 June 2014 3:02 AM To: epel-devel@lists.fedoraproject.org Subject: Re: EPEL Orphan or retire the TurboGears (v1) stack in 7 On Mon, Jun 16, 2014 at 12:01:26PM -0700, Toshio Kuratomi wrote: If someone steps up to say they'll take ownership of TurboGears1 (one of the comaintainers or someone new), then I'll reassign these packages to them.
