[EVDL] GBS cells BMS limp home
On my jonway 24 cell scooter, my may pack voltage looked great!!Them BAM, it cut off . fortureatly I found a plugin . but was only a mile from home. The BMS seems to control the power on to the contoller. not the heavy pack load. Maryland-based Genovation already set the top speed world record for a
road-legal all-electric car earlier this year when it hit 186.8 mph, but
after improving their battery-powered Corvette, the company decided to give
it another go.
The modified Corvette, called Genovation GXE, did it again by reaching the
record-breaking speed of 205.6 mph at Nasa’s landing strip at the Kennedy
Space Center in Cape Canaveral, Florida.
In comparison, the Tesla Model S’ top speed is 155 mph, but it is
software-limited in order not to damage the battery pack. If it wasn’t
software-limited, the vehicle could potentially achieve a similar top speed
as Genovation’s record.

“We are thrilled that after setting a record earlier this year, we were able
to further enhance the GXE’s performance and break our own record. We have
managed to create a car that is both exhilarating for drivers and gentle on
the environment.”
The Genovation GXE is a re-engineered Z06 Corvette in which the company
fitted a 44kWh battery pack allowing for a range of about 130 miles on a
single charge. They claim that the powertrain produces “in excess of 600-hp
and 570 lb-ft of torque”.
The company is still in the testing and development phase, but it plans to
bring the GXE to market in limited production. It will start taking
pre-orders later this quarter.

German automotive giant BMW is planning to come up with a new factory to
produce batteries for the future cars.
The company is looking towards making a step towards the future technology,
which would see widespread usage of Electric Vehicles and hybrid cars. As a
result, establishing its own factory to build batteries to power these cars
would give the company immense benefits in terms of component availability
and also in bringing down the overall costs of these parts on account of
high volumes.
BMW is in talks with the Industries Ministry of Thailand and is aiming to
start construction of the new plant by the middle of next year. The new
state-of-the-art factory will produce batteries to be used in plug-in hybrid
vehicles to be built by the company. Being in Thailand, the plant will lead
to lower costs of such cars for the Thai market.
The total investment into this project is being considered to be around 57
million dollars. Moreover, the government of Thailand is also in
conversation with BMW to offer it tax incentives for making Thailand a
manufacturing hub for plug-in hybrid vehicles.
Thailand is also home to 10 other big automobile manufacturing companies,
which have made it as their regional production hub for the Asia Pacific
region. The automobile sector also accounts for a large chunk of the
country’s GDP and contributes close to 10 per cent.
Manufacturers across the globe are constantly increasing their focus on new
technologies and mobility solutions, which will power vehicles in the coming
future. Dependency on fossil fuels and also the increasing levels of
pollution in various parts of the globe is making companies and regulatory
bodies to take steps to switch to cleaner sources of energy.
Other companies like Tesla are also thinking towards looking into alternate
means of energy like solar power and developing strategies to move into this
direction.
