Re: [EVDL] Insurance Woes
I replied to the most recent insurance woes thinking that it was part of this string but it looks like it isn't. Below is what I posted to the other message. I also live in Utah. My insurer is Allstate and when asked about liability insurance the answer has always been yes to buying coverage. My only concern is liability. My pickup will be on the road this spring after a long conversion. Are you interested in comparing notes about your conversion? I'm in the Logan area. don -- View this message in context: http://electric-vehicle-discussion-list.413529.n4.nabble.com/Insurance-Woes-tp4674179p4674205.html Sent from the Electric Vehicle Discussion List mailing list archive at Nabble.com. ___ UNSUBSCRIBE: http://www.evdl.org/help/index.html#usub http://lists.evdl.org/listinfo.cgi/ev-evdl.org For EV drag racing discussion, please use NEDRA (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/NEDRA)

Re: [EVDL] Dissimilar metals on Headyways?
Any time I have dissimilar metals I use anti oxidizing paste. I lightly coat the screw threads and the contact points. Electrical supply stores and places like home depot and lowes have it in their electrical departments. -- View this message in context: http://electric-vehicle-discussion-list.413529.n4.nabble.com/Dissimilar-metals-on-Headyways-tp4671603p4671604.html Sent from the Electric Vehicle Discussion List mailing list archive at Nabble.com. ___ UNSUBSCRIBE: http://www.evdl.org/help/index.html#usub http://lists.evdl.org/listinfo.cgi/ev-evdl.org For EV drag racing discussion, please use NEDRA (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/NEDRA)
Re: [EVDL] Vacuum Switch
I was using the SSBC system but the pump failed. But I was still able to use the ssbc switch. I kept all vacuum lines as short as possible. My system creates the vacuum at start up, and doesn't pump again until I use the brakes and then only for a very short time. I don't seem to need the reservoir. My vacuum motor came from a Volvo. -- View this message in context: http://electric-vehicle-discussion-list.413529.n4.nabble.com/Vacuum-Switch-tp4671491p4671522.html Sent from the Electric Vehicle Discussion List mailing list archive at Nabble.com. ___ UNSUBSCRIBE: http://www.evdl.org/help/index.html#usub http://lists.evdl.org/listinfo.cgi/ev-evdl.org For EV drag racing discussion, please use NEDRA (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/NEDRA)
[EVDL] winter parking brake
I searched but didn't find a similar question. If one exists and I missed it please redirect me. My question concerns manual transmissions and parking in the winter. We don't use a parking brake in the winter here since the pads and shoes freeze to metal parts. With no engine compression to hold the vehicle what have others done?
