Here's my Nissan Leaf Go Kart/homemade controller (here are the directions for controller: http://www.instructables.com/id/200kW-AC-Motor-Controller-for-Electric-Car/): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_97xBLvRdcw. In this test the throttle was configured as a wig wag, so that twisting it one way made the go kart go forward and pushing the other way made it go backwards.
