We have outgoing evolution filters that are applied to mail headed for 'sent', so this can be done without bcc, if you use local filters anyway. ___ evolution maillist - [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://lists.ximian.com/mailman/listinfo/evolution

Although I do what you do as well, David, there is something to be said with BCC'ing yourself. For instance, I have a friend who uses his filter rules (sieve on cyrus) to file his responses to different associates in the same folders where he sent the messages to get client side threading of mail messages. It's pretty neat actually, but only if used in conjunction with filters IMO. When 1.2 comes out, I might move to this method myself. -- Brian ___ evolution maillist - [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://lists.ximian.com/mailman/listinfo/evolution

Yes, just look at the Folder-Tree display of your folders and drag&drop the IMAP inbox to the shortcut bar and then delete the old Inbox shortcut Jeff -- Jeffrey Stedfast Evolution Hacker - Ximian, Inc. Re: [Evolution] Newbie questions: BCC and Shortcuts
Actually, I have never understood BCC:ing yourself as a way to have a copy of email you send. All I do is simply save all outgoing messages in a Sent folder. Said folder is on my IMAP server, so email I send from Evolution gets saved there. When I'm using my Mac (OS X, very nice ... would love to have evo on that, too, but I digress ...) I use the same Sent folder. All mail I send is automagically saved there, and I don't have to futz with BCC to myself. Just my solution ... dg On Tue, 2002-07-23 at 04:31, Marc Janssens wrote: > > I recently switched to Evolution (1.0.8) as mail reader due to > some nice features (coming from Netscape). > > I'm using multiple PC's to read and write emails. The mail account here is POP3. In the next version (1.1.x or 1.2) i believe. > For my work I want to switch to Evolution as well (mainly because > its Calendar and Tasks funtion). Easiest is probably do "view->folder bar", then just drag the imap inbox over to the shortcut box, etc etc. ___ evolution maillist - [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://lists.ximian.com/mailman/listinfo/evolution

Sure, if I remember correctly, all you need to do is right-click on the old shortcut to delete it, then drag the icon from the folder tree to the shortut bar. [Evolution] Newbie questions: BCC and Shortcuts
I recently switched to Evolution (1.0.8) as mail reader due to some nice features (coming from Netscape). I'm using multiple PC's to read and write emails. To have all mails I've sent available on all PC's I was using Netscape. In Netscape it is possible to automatically BCC yourself to the list. Can someting similar be configured with Evolution? The mail account here is POP3. For my work I want to switch to Evolution as well (mainly because its Calendar and Tasks funtion). Here I use an IMAP only mail server. I want to replace the standard Inbox in the Shortcuts menu with the inbox on the IMAP server. Is this possible?
