Re: [Evolution] Moving messages between folders

Error while moving messages into folders [FOLDER NAME]

Cannot transfer message to destination folder: no such file or
 directory.
 ---

You need to give us more information. Like Evolution version, account
type (imap, pop, ews, local). It would also be helpful to get the
output when the error occurs if you turn on the debugging info for that
account type.

You could certainly run evolution inside a docker container. In the end,
you would be running a different distribution than your main one inside
a chroot, from which evolution would be started.

NB: It is a simplified answer, docker is more powerful than a normal
chroot, you could warp something other than a different distro (but it
would be the easiest way, for a ‘big’ program like evolution), etc.

That's what I thought. It could be a way to provide modern versions of
Evo to distros that tend to lag behind (such as Ubuntu).

Sorry for the oversight. Evo 3.2.3 under Ubuntu 12.04, POP.

Of course, now I'll have to wait until it flashes that error again,
because true to form, the one it wouldn't move last night moved just
fine this morning with no argument :-)

Thanks,
