[Evolution] Open links in the background?
When I click a link in an email message I'd like Web (my default browser) or Firefox to start loading the link in the background while the Evolution window remains in focus on the screen. This is the default behavior in Thunderbird, for example. But when I click a link in Evolution the desktop focus shifts to the browser instead of remaining with Evolution. Is there any way to keep Evolution in focus when clicking on links within emails? Thanks in advance for any advice. ___ evolution-list mailing list evolution-list@gnome.org To change your list options or unsubscribe, visit ... https://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/evolution-list
[Evolution] Error Message with Sent Mail on Evolution
I'm trying to send emails using Evolution 3.36.5 on Linux Mint Uma Cinnamon on a 2011 iMac. My email provider is WebMate (connected over IMAP/SMTP). The emails successfully send, but I receive this error message: CODE: SELECT ALL Your message was sent, but an error occurred during post-processing. The reported error was “Failed to append to Sent: Error appending message: Server sent unexpected response: OK Appending to local “Sent” folder instead.”. I reached out to WebMate, and they've never seen it before. Has anyone else seen it, and if so, how do I resolve it? When I login to WebMate webmail, a Sent folder shows, and any sent mail from WebMate webmail successfully goes to the Sent folder. It looks like I have successfully pointed Evolution to the folder as well, but I’m not 100% sure. Also, I need to connect an Exchange account to Evolution as well. EWS support is installed, but I'm not sure where to look to add my Exchange account. I can provide screenshots to this thread if need be: https://forums.linuxmint.com/viewtopic.php?f=47=363068=2107106#p2107106 Thanks! Hi, I just checked and the Flathub.org Flatpak version of the Evolution had been updated and works as expected. You can run these commands from a terminal to get it and to make sure the background processes run the updated bits: $ flatpak kill org.gnome.Evolution $ flatpak update org.gnome.Evolution After it updates just run it as usual. Re: [Evolution] Gmail Oauth2 loop
Dear Milan, Yes it is the 3.42.2 (flatpak git) version. So hopefully it will work in the near future. It can be seen in Help->About. It's an important information, because if you use a Flatpak version, then you are affected of a libsecret bug: https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/libsecret/-/issues/62 If you use a Flatpak version provided by Flathub.org, then the 3.42.2 does not have it worked around yet, but I'm talking to the maintainer of it to provide an update, which will have it working.
