With all due respect, sandboxes leak. That the e install is not
natively tied in to the rest of Debian, can lead to problems.

I was unable to get a current version under the stable release, so I
don't understand your comment.

I did not run a newer version prior to this. I said that clearly and I
really have no reason to lie. I was trying to solve a problem. Why lie?

I am stuck with the flatpak version until Debian roles out the version
I need and then, I pray that once I export again, it will import
without another blow up. I honestly do not understand about the
comment, "Milan has given you all the information you need to
clean up your configuration to start anew."

[Evolution] Editing and removing signature files -- how to?

2022-11-07 Thread Mike Lieberman
I can see how to add new signatures, but not how to edit or delete
them. Is this simply a feature that is yet to be added?

The 'box' below the identified signature stays empty. The edit and
remove buttons stay grayed out.

Crashed as in the disk was trashed and I'm not in the testing program
for bookworm, so I just reformatted the disk. I have enough on my
pllate now and have no interest in testing bookworm.

No, Tim, I didn't miss it. I tested bookworm on a testbench machine and
it crashed that machine. OK, it is possible that there was a problem
with that other machine, but I couldn't risk it.

Re: [Evolution] Have I pushed Evolution beyond where it is designedto go?

2022-11-07 Thread Mike Lieberman
I used installed the 3.46.1 (by Flathub.org) version. My OS didn't like
it but it did install and the problem I was having is gone. This
version is working.

The new flathub install software center is not liked by Debian. And the
code Debian is installing is a problem.

[Evolution] Converting from a PST

2012-11-22 Thread Mike Lieberman
Is there a limit to the size of the PST file that the Windows version of
evolution can import? I am attempting to my from using a Windows 7
(32bit) wks to a Debian (64bit) wks. I have been using Outlooks for
eighteen years. (Yes - since 1994) and my PST is 9+GB. Installed
evolution on my Windows wks and started an Import. It has been running
for 12 hours and appears to be hung in a folder that just isn't that
larger on it's own.

Is there anyway around this, or do I give up?

Hi Mike,

I may not be able to help, but I'm guessing those that can will need to know
the version of Outlook you are running.

Cheers,
Chris
