[Evolution] Weird error message

2018-12-21 Thread Tibor Attila Anca via evolution-list
Hi,

I have been away for a while from the list, so I do not know, whether
the problem has already been discussed.

I use Evolution 3.30.3 on Fedora 29. Each time I send a mail I get an
error message displayed above the filter line, something like: Error by
executing the process (original is German). Message with ID could
not be retrieved. Message not available.

is the ID of the sent message which is present in my sent folder.

Where is this error message coming from?

Thanks
Tibor

Thanks for the hint. I installed the debug packages just for the case I
would need them. Right now I am sitting before my laptop without my
attached external drive (USB3, LUKS partition) and without my mounted
nfs-share. I selected the messages with those large pictures, saved them
to a folder and: there was no delay at all.

Evolution also told me earlier this day (as I switched between the
messages) that it is saving the state of my user interface and loading
the message... Everything is set for offline usage and all the messages
were already locally present. So, it remains a mystery, but at least
with a workaround :-)

Regards,
Tibor

[Evolution] Evolution or gnome files

2018-11-13 Thread Tibor Attila Anca via evolution-list
Hello,

I use Gnome 3.30 and Evolution 3.30 on Fedora 29. I recently observed
the following problem.

I've got some E-Mails with 5 to 7 large pictures which I want to save in
a certain directory. If i chose the first message it loads instantly,
saving is no time done. But at least by the third message the save as
dialogue slows down. Means: it takes a few minutes to display the files
already present in the folder and the path is also not visible. I
remember to already have had something like this with evolution 3.28.

I'm not really sure weather this is a problem of gnome files, gnome
shell or evolution. Did someone else notice this behaviour?

Thanks

[Evolution] Change shortcut for jumping to next unread message

2018-01-31 Thread Dr. Tibor Attila Anca
Hi,

space is jumping to next unread message over folders once you reach the
end of an unread message and there ar no other unread messages in the
current folder. Is there a way to create a shortcut that jumps to next
unread messages over folders without the need to read them first? Such
as "+" in Kmail or"n" in Thunderbird?

(Evolution 3.26.4, Fedora 27)

Did you try a filter for outgoing mails?

I mean: a functionality that includes adding events and tasks while
offline and once I get online they will be synchronized.

So, we use the same version. Sorry for not mentioning the version of
Evolution, but I experienced the lack of this feature disregarded the
version or linux distro. I also can chose to copy the content for
offline operations, only: you cannot execute offline operations, neither
with google calendars, nor with caldav ones (I use the german posteo as
a provider). I can create new items, but am not able to save them. So
what is the use of ticking the choice for offline operations?

So, I will go over Bugzilla.

[Evolution] Offline calendar support

2017-11-04 Thread Tibor Attila Anca
Hello,

I am using Evolution since several years and am in fact quite happy with
it. But there is a feature I really miss. It appears that Evolution
doesn't have a support for offline calendaring. How could I initiate a
feature request? In many cases this a show stopper and I often tried to
abandon Evolution and pick up Thunderbird/ Korganizer, but they have got
their own weaknesses, so I stayed with Evolution.

Thankful for any hint!

Tibor
