Hi,
there are no additional options for the command line. From within UI,
you can use keys like ""
then find and select the (next) file, then "", which will move
you to the destination folder, which is derived from the Mail view, in
case of the mail import. Then just "" and that's it. The
Alt+XXX works in the en_US locale. Your locale can have different
mnemonics set.

You did not mention what kind of files you are trying to import. Being
it mails, I'd probably copy them to one directory on the disk, then
create a new Mail Account of type "Standard Unix mbox spool directory",
or "Maildir-format mail directories", or "MH-format mail directories"
(depending of the format of the files in that folder), which will
provide you with all those messages in a new account, which you can
move or copy in batches to the folders you'd like to have them in. I
suggest to copy the files in a new directory to have backup of those
old, just in case something would went wrong.
Bye,
Milan

[Evolution] evolution -i (import)

2019-04-16 Thread Greg Oliver via evolution-list
Hi, i have a bunch of files I need to import one by one (too many to chug
through the 4 clicks in the GUI each time), so I found the import option,
but there is no way for me to get the rest of the command line options (if
they exist) for the command.

When I invode it from a shell for each file, it pops the GUIs import screen
up with the file already selected.

Does anyone know if I can specify the file format and destination
account/folder to automatically import it into with requiring any clicks?

TiA,

Greg
