The candidate should be able to assist with generating multiple architectural solutions and be able to perform the engineering and development required to implement the selected option. In alignment with Store Systems Management and Advisors, the IT Retail Store System Engineer, is also responsible for coordination of activities pertaining to project success, problem resolution, and collaboration with key stakeholders to ensure goals are met. In addition, the IT Retail Store System Engineer, provides Store Systems Management and Advisors with regular status updates and strives for continuous process improvement. · 5+ years of professional experience in retail store systems IT. · Strong communication and interpersonal skills. · Ability to work with business users, gain a deep understanding of their needs and translate those needs into specific project deliverables. · Ability to work with vendor technical resources and help with the coordination of their efforts with project team resources to deliver the final solution. · Experience with Linux · Experience with retail projects including involvement in requirements definition, design, build, test, deploy and post release evaluation. · Ability to translate business strategies and opportunities into feasible, cost effective IT solutions. · Proven ability to understand the big picture and drive innovation and creative thinking for defining scope for business solutions. · Resourceful and creative when presented with project risks, issues and other project challenges that need immediate attention and resolution. · Experience communicating expectations, project direction, goals and project health accurately to project stakeholders across the enterprise. · Strong interpersonal skills that will build important Business and IT relationships that promote cross team understanding of Business strategies for product development. · Establishing and managing vendor relationships to ensure project resources fit project requirements. · Ensuring that overall quality of project deliverables exceed enterprise standards. · Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent certification or experience.
