Subject: $$Excel-Macros$$ Single Quotes Added to Email Address
To: excel-macros@googlegroups.com

Dear Group Members,
I am using Out look10 and after sending the message the email address or
name is showing by quote (single quote " ' ") / apostrophe.
I checked display as field and display name but there is no quote. The
reply comes back to me w/o quotes and my subsequent reply goes out with
quotes.

I removed the account and re-sync the email wherein previous emails quoted
are removed and showing correct name without quote. Now it is showing for
new sending messages only.

Is there any way to shut off the feature where Outlook adds single quotes
around an email address when replying?

Thanking You,

Regards

Hi,

I believe your code is extracting the file name from the path which you are
browsing.
Your code had problem in substitute formula. Please check

Function Extractfilename(url As Variant) As String
For i = 1 To Len(url)
If Mid(url, i, 1) = "\" Then
x = x + 1
End If
Next i
'n = Application.WorksheetFunction.Substitute("\", "@", x)
error in this line
n = Application.WorksheetFunction.Substitute(url, "\", "@", x)'''Corrected"
m = Application.WorksheetFunction.Search("@", n) + 1

Extractfilename = Trim(Mid(url, m, Len(url)))
End Function
