Re: $$Excel-Macros$$ Need mis in excel vba format must in search engine

2011-05-22 Thread Umesh Dev
Hi Kannan,

To create a report in this format is not advisable. The data have to be in
contiguous, there should not be merged cell in between them. Maintain
listing productivity and broker productivity separately.

if you maintain it this way the data can be pulled in a numbers of ways in
seconds.

 Hi,

I am trying to change a number to a time format after excel averages out
 certain criteria.

This is the average formula I am using:

 =AVERAGEIF($F$5:$F$17,=1,$G$5:$G$17)

This is the Time Formula I'd like added to the average formula, so my
number changes to a time style like 11:22 AM or 11:22 PM

 =TIME

I tried adding =TIME to the end of the formula , didn't work.

 I've attached the spreadsheet

 Thanks!

In Data Sheet you have to extend the formula used as Helper Column1 and
Helper Column2 (Column F Column G) based on the Unique ID No data of
 Column B.

I hope its Clear to you!

$$Excel-Macros$$ Re: Segregate data in appropriate sheet with Name as sheet name

2009-11-06 Thread Umesh Dev
Hi Ramesh,

Try using the code below:- This code would rename the sheets with the name
in range(A1)

Sub newsheetname()
Dim i As Integer, Newname As String

 For i = 1 To ThisWorkbook.Worksheets.Count
Newname = ThisWorkbook.Worksheets(i).Range(A1).Value
ThisWorkbook.Worksheets(i).Name = Newname _
ThisWorkbook.Worksheets(i).Index
Next i

End Sub

 Hi Team,

Is there a way we can segregate the data depending upon the name
 (column A) to different tabs.

 Example
If it is a macro, and if I run it, the result would be:

Sheet names: “Ramesh”, Ravi”, “Rakesh”, and “Sridhar” and each tab
would contain the data as per the sheet name.

I hope this is a confusing request, please let me know if you have any
 questions.

 Thanks in advance
 Ramesh

  Dilip,

 You are king!

Is there a way we can make Column F reflect the value from Sheet 1 if E4 =
mapped instead of reflecting what's on Sheet 2?

Here is my logic. When using this formula in action, I won't be able to
check what the formula matches on Sheet 1 because Sheet 1 may have 5,000
names. By adding this extra step, I can validate that the match reflects
what I believe is a correct match.

 I hope I didn't confuse you more.

 Michael Drayton

   Hi Michael,

Actually, if the name of sheet 2 is matching in the list in Sheet 1, then
I am saying as Found. Further to this, I have fetched those names which
are matched considering full name and only the first name. Please look at
the attached file for further understanding.

Is there a way to make the formula kick back the actual matched name?

$$Excel-Macros$$ Re: Difference of Modules

A Class is a way of defining a new object and attributes.

let's say you wanted to create an object called People.

Now, for each person in People you wanted to save the
 Name

 Postal_Code
 Phone_Home
 Phone_Work
 Phone_Cell
 Birthday
 Start_Date

You would define this Class in a Class Module.

Then, in a Regular module, you could create a new variable like:

 Dim Employee as People

then, the Employee variable automatically has the properties:

 Employee.Name
 Employee.Address
 Employee.City
 Employee.Postal_Code
 Employee.Phone_Home
 Employee.Phone_Work
 Employee.Phone_Cell
 Employee.Birthday
 Employee.Start_Date

Of course, it's EMPTY until your macro fills it.

to find examples (and a better explanation!)

 Just Google VBA Class Module.

You'll find HUNDREDS of good articles!
