Re: $$Excel-Macros$$ Re: how to crack Excel VBA password

2014-06-16 Thread Aaron Krapf
Sham, I tried the steps below and tried to open the workbook in Excel and
got the dialog box that states Excel found unreadable content in FILE
NAME.xlsm. Do you want to recover the contents of this workbook? If you
trust the source of this workbook, click Yes. After clicking Yes, it shows
the repairs dialog box where the only option is to click Close. I then
press Alt F11 but it asks me for the password. I am using Excel 2010. Do
you know why it is not working?
Thanks,
Aaron

2013-08-02 Thread Chupa Chups
Has anyone used the service at www.password-find.com ? Our company had a
few password protected VBA projects created by a fired employee and we
figured out it will be much cheaper if we remove that passwords from Excel
files instead of recreating the VBA projects. We chose that Password-find
service and luckily enough it worked as advertised. Probably you might want
to try it out.

Re: $$Excel-Macros$$ Re: how to crack Excel VBA password

2010-02-20 Thread SHAM
To crack the password of an VBA Macro / coding first download an HEX
Editor

its available from the site
http://www.chmaas.handshake.de/delphi/freeware/xvi32/xvi32.htm
(its a very small file of 0.5 MB capacity)

Close the workbook and open the workbook file in the hex editor. Find
the string DPB and change it to DPx (x is in small letter). Save
the file. Open the workbook and click OK until the workbook is open
(one or more dialogs are displayed describing various problems with
the VBA project). Press ALT+F11, choose the menu command Tools-
VBAProject Properties, navigate to the Protection tab, and change the
password but do not remove it (note the new password). Save, close,
and re-open the workbook. Press ALT+F11 and enter the new password.
Choose Tools-VBAProject Properties, navigate to the Protection tab,
and remove the password. Save the workbook.
Now open the same workbook, You can use the password that you already
given.

delete all data from the sheets leaving just the VBA passsword
protected code, attach the file, once you have the password you can
paste back the data.
