Help!!!

I just now went to AD to delete one of my valid email addresses only to
find that all integration with AD, the Exchange Tasks and the EMail
tab, are GONE !?! I just performed a bunch of these actions yesterday,
but today their not available :(

What could cause this? I'm only seeing a couple of warnings about being
able to replicate the database.

Thanks in Advance,
Fred

RE: alternate recipient + delivery to email domain

2001-10-29 Thread Romero, Eric

well that is not what is happening here...currently the queues of messages
is building up...and the settings are the same...but the ip is not
availableremember that we are instruicting Exchange directly to send
@x2.abc.com to specific IP...why do we need DNS in that scenario?

I think you answered your own question:

we do not use DNS nor Hosts entry for @x2.abc.com as we just indicate
the IP of that host in the forward all messages to this domain..that Hosts
receives messages just from us so they do not have any presence on the
internet...other than its IP address

If the host is not registered in dns then the mail will bounceback
immediately. If there is a record in dns for the host yet the host is down,
exchange will retry transmit of message (host is down or unreachable). If
the domain is registered yet authorative nameservers are not available,
exchange will retry until nameservers become available or until the retry
period is over (network error during host resolution).

Hi all

MSX5.5+SP4.

we have some mailboxes that use delivery to alternate recipient
the alternate recipient is @x2.abc.com also we have insructed the IMC
through
connections\specify by email the x2.abc.com and forward all messages
to this domain to the IP of that host.

all works fine when that Host is on.

problem is that when they turn the server off, we start getting
error 3010/3011/4031 and messages bounce back to the sender.

I have checked the Service messages queues in the IMC
Retry interval (hrs)=.25,.5,1,4
Timeout (hrs)=Urgent=24,normal=48,non-urgent=72
as for what I checked messages stay iun the outbound queue just one hour.
the parametrs show above should guarantee me to stay at least 24Hrs

If the hosts is off let say 8 hours the sender get (immediately) the
following NDR

AFAIK, this infected message didn't come from me. It has my return address,
but as you can see, the sending server is mail.stadacona.ca.

We block all executables at the server, and I started getting bounce
messages about an hour before I was even in the office.

Also, nobody I've every actually email directly has bounced me a message,
and I'm not seeing any outbound port 25 traffic from any machine other than
my mail server.

Can anyone confirm that this virus forges return addresses? The antiviral

thanks but I have tried that rule, what we need in the attachment is just
the body of the message not the headers also we prefer the attachment to
have an extension like *.txt or any other

Can't vouch for earlier clients, but with Outlook 2002:

Tools | Rules Wizard | Options | Import (or Export) Rules.

Create your rule with your machine, export it to a file, Import it onto the
other machine(s). Use Forward it as an Attachment as your Rule action.

 Hi all
 MSX5.5
 SP4

Please does anybody know how to create rules and import to
exchange to be used by any Outlook client? The goald is to
receive messages and forward that message to another mailbox
but putting all the body contents in an attachment.

 thanks,
