Re: Free/Busy Schedule not working

2001-12-06 Thread Chris.Collins

I thought affinity is only used when you're not replicating the folders to
the remote sites ?

In our case, 3 sites are replicating Free/Busy info to each other's site
(each site is in a sep. domain/all domains have 2 way trusts est./site
connectors between each site/messaging and dir. sync is working fine). We've
got the same problem in that sites B C can view each other's Free/busy but
not site A's, while site A can view Free/busy of all 3 sites. What's odd is
that while server A's Free/Busy Replicas tab has both sites B C chosen
under Replicate Folders to, it doesn't list any servers under the Folder
Replication Status tab. When viewing the Instances tab in both B C's
PubIS properties, they both list site A's Free/Busybut, when you view
the Public Folder Resources tab it lists 0 items and 0K for site A's
Free/Busy, as if it's creating a placeholder, but never populating it with
the data. After upping the logging level for the Pub. I've noticed no
outgoing messages from site A to site B or C, while it site A receives
incoming messages regularly from them. As a test, we created a new pub.
folder on site A and replicated that to site B C successfully and that did
trigger MSExchangePubReplication Outgoing logsbut still no Site A
Free/busy info replicated to sites B C. Have also tried removing the
replica instances in site B C...waited until they cleared and dir. was
sync'd, then retried replicating, again to no avail.

All running NT 4 sp6a, Ex 5.5 sp4
All running Norton Antivirus 2.12 (build 59) with background scanning
enabled and OpenRetryDelay value increased to DWord 5000 per Q270160

Free/Busy Schedule not working

2001-12-04 Thread m2web

We have three site that are connected together thru site connectors.
We have also setup free/busy connectors at system folders.
I am able to see the free/busy schedules of other sites but they are not
able to see ours. I have looked at the properties of the connector and in
the Replica tab I see us and other sites listed, however on the Folder
Replication Status there is nothing. I have changed the Replication
Schedule from Always to Selected times, and vice versa but still nothing
works.
On the other two sites the MS Mail Connector and CC mail do not exist. On
our site they do however we do not use them but then in our case in the
Server Recepients we have Microsoft Schedule+Free/Bust Connector which
does not exists in the other two sites.
Could having the MS Mail and CC mail be the problem and having not
configured the Microsoft Schedule+Free/Bust Connector ? Or is there
something else wrong?

RE: Free/Busy Schedule not working

You only see the MSMail and CCMail connectors in your site because these
options were not unchecked when installing an (or any) exchange server in
your site - that is also why you have that Schedule+ free/busy connector
only in your site. It won't hurt anything to just leave them there.

As for free/busy in the system folders: did you connect to the other site,
expand system folders, open properties to their site's free/busy folder and
check that your server is in their replicas tab? If it's not there, add it.
Do the same for any other site.

Louise
