Perhaps you are using the improper syntax? Try typing 'a001 LOGIN SMITH SESAME where smith is the username and sesame is the password. RFC1730 described the additional commands in some detail as well. They say that the next session will activate the Registry change. Well, yes and no. On one server I can get the file handle on all but one log file released, on another I only get one of the 5 files released. We need to log continuously as we have round the globe POP3 access and the logs help us troubleshoot. But the logs keep growing and now take over 15 minutes to open, so I'd like to close them when they're quite small and let Exchange open new ones. And I don't want to keep restarting the IS. Any ideas? RE: IMAP
IMAP only groks e-mails. Not contacts. I use LDAP to get to the GAL and I exported my Contacts folder to a pst and imported them into my Outlook at home. Not perfect, but it works Jim -Original Message- From: Martin Blackstone [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Friday, November 30, 2001 3:59 PM To: Exchange Discussions Subject: IMAP OK, I setup my Exchange box to do IMAP for my remote users temporarily until I get some other stuff straight. RE: imap public folder
Did you create replicas of the folders on the new server and wait for them to replicate? Did you change the home public folder server setting on the user's mailbox server? Ed Crowley Compaq Computer -Original Message- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]]On Behalf Of mikel fernandez Sent: Tuesday, September 25, 2001 4:28 AM To: Exchange Discussions Subject: imap public folder How can I move the root of an Imap public folder. The real problem is that we moved public folders to a new server but after stopping all exchange services in the root server , the clients can not access to any Public Folder because we can use only one root. The root was created in one server that we will desinstall ¿¿will it be changed after the desinstallation?? _ List posting FAQ: http://www.swinc.com/resource/exch_faq.htm Archives: http://www.swynk.com/sitesearch/search.asp To unsubscribe: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Exchange List admin:[EMAIL PROTECTED] _ List posting FAQ: http://www.swinc.com/resource/exch_faq.htm Archives: http://www.swynk.com/sitesearch/search.asp To unsubscribe: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Exchange List admin:[EMAIL PROTECTED]
