RE: OWA through a PIX - Q article?

2001-12-17 Thread Ed Crowley

If it were in the FAQ, the answer should be, Don't bother! Why in the
world would you want to open up all those ports? It defeats the purpose of
a DMZ in my view.

Subject: OWA through a PIX - Q article?

I know this should probably be in the FAQ by now, but it's not. Can
someone point me to the Q article that discusses putting OWA in a DMZ.

I need to confirm the ports necessary to authenticate OWA through the
firewall.

Cheers!

Re: OWA through a PIX - Q article?

2001-12-13 Thread Norris Carden

Sorry, but those are the ports needed for the external client. I need the
ports to open between the OWA server in the DMZ and the Exchange Server on
the internal network.

So far I found Q280132 and Q155831, but they seem to list many Win2k ports
not necessary for Exchange 5.5.
