RE: Outlook on Win XP SP1 can't connect to Exchange server
That would not necessarily be true. Don't know about your firewall(s) but most operate on the principle of if not allowed than deny. My question would be if the ip is not the same as the old computer (Did not see it stated anywhere)- is the ip allowed access through the firewall to the exchange server on the given ports? -Original Message- From: Andrey Fyodorov [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Wednesday, February 26, 2003 5:10 PM To: Exchange Discussions Subject: RE: Outlook on Win XP SP1 can't connect to Exchange server wouldn't be our firewalls, because he can use other PCs in his office to connect with MAPI just fine. -Original Message- From: Bailey, Matthew [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Wednesday, February 26, 2003 5:13 PM To: Exchange Discussions Subject: RE: Outlook on Win XP SP1 can't connect to Exchange server I would check the firewalls on both ends of the connection. -Matt Matthew Bailey LAN Engineer CSK Auto, Inc. RE: Outlook on Win XP SP1 can't connect to Exchange server
Try removing and re-adding the TCP/IP protocol. We had a problem with outlook not being able to connect to our exchange 5.5 server on machines that had been ghosted and sysprepped. Everything else worked (except outlook/exchange) and I found a MS Knowledgebase article that suggested removing/reinstalling TCP/IP which solved the problem. RE: Outlook on Win XP SP1 can't connect to Exchange server
I am running XP SP1 and having no problems what so ever. Can you resolve the exchange server from the command prompt? A side note, 1st thing I always do to any new system, dump the OEM configuration and put our configs on the systems. I have found this to solve more than one or two problems along the way.
