Scanmail Problem

2001-09-18 Thread Atkinson, Daniel

hi all,

we are having trouble getting scanmail emanager (spam blocker) to work. It
seemed to install ok, but doesn't do any spam-blocking.

the manual says to check that 'contscan.exe' and 'cm_smex.exe' are running
as NT processes - well, they're not, and if we restart the services nothing
changes. Meanwhile, the virus scanning is working fine.

has anyone had any similar issues? trend tech support is a joke

regards,
dan.

RE: Scanmail Problem

2001-09-18 Thread Lewis-Capers, Annette

In order to use eManager you have to be running Realtime Scan in Mapi mode.
It works great for us.

I tried downloading the pattern file stopped all the services and placed it

RE: ScanMail Problem

2001-08-17 Thread Anil Hangal (UGBI)

I also have exactly similar situation. It used to work before. But now I
only see the message generic HTTP failure. I even checked the trend site
and there it is suggested to download a test file, server.ini. IF that
succeeds, they say there is no problem with the conection. I could download
it. But still it is not working. Currently I am downlaoding it manually and
updating.
