(sorry for the long delay, i had an undiscovered gotcha in my email setup...)
i thought that should remain the user's preference for now, so i didn't
change the logic beyond accepting both short and long ids.

exmh will also need a bit of work for gpg 2.1+ as that makes agent stuff
almost mandatory (or requires semidocumented, non-backwards-compatible
options if you don't agree to the agent).

i don't think this will cause any issues, make it so.

not me, i pushed some gpg-related stuff a few weeks ago.
(btw, does sf do git? cvs is getting a bit painful.)

to me it looks like adjust makefile, adjust version.sed,
make version, make srctar.
