Thank you, Joe! So I will add pixel-format support soon.

Anton, in the #concatenative channel logs I noticed you expressed some
concern about GtkGLExt's limited pixel format attribute support. GLX's
underlying set of pixel format attributes is fairly small compared to
Windows or Mac, and GtkGLExt's attributes more or less correspond to
GLX's, so this should not be a problem. Your GTK backend can discard
unsupported pixel format attributes in the same way the X11 backend
currently does.

Re: [Factor-talk] A newbie with some questions

2010-05-29 Thread Jim mack
Well, I am not qualified to comment (or even follow) a majority of this
discussion, but I may have some useful input re: "QNX is POSIX compliant,
but the graphical UI (Photon) may be a problem."

Factor out of the box provides an HTTP web server that you can run locally
for machine interaction, and browse to for UI control. I have been pursuing
this approach in my projects, and it works well.

Hi Slava,

this are good news.

First I can give you an account on our internal Opensolaris-Server. I
can setup an virtual maschine with full root access for you or someone
other. This server is up 24h/7days. You have to login on an linux
maschine with ssh and then to the opensolaris server. Is this ok for
you? Later i will setup a dedicated server at my provider with access
from the internet. But i think this will be in juli/august this year.
If you want, send me a pm.

QNX is POSIX compliant, but the graphical UI (Photon) may be a problem.
I do not know if factor is an overkill for our embedded project with QNX
on an ARM-Processor (Beagle Board). First i have to port gforth. If a
have the time and the need for factor on QNX, i will do the port with
your help. First factor is our choice for the control program on our
workstations.
