Yahoo doesn't seem to want me to post from my new location out on the East Coast at the moment especially when I'm trying to add a link so let's try this. Reminds me of the first days of Neo when we kept doing all these test posts.

Re: [FairfieldLife] Bernie Sanders Welcomes the Hatred of Billionaires
We don't need oligarchs and billionaires. We don't need corporations too big to fail. We don't need corporate wars (look at Apple versus Samsung). We need sanity. Larry Lessig just broke away from Bernie to run for President and his platform is he will be President for one day and initiate and executive action to get rid of this joke we have in the rich running (ruining) the country. http://www.washingtonpost.com/news/post-politics/wp/2015/08/11/lawrence-lessig-wants-to-run-for-president-in-a-most-unconventional-way/ I love Bernie gaining ground though and as I have said before the dogs of capitalism have soiled their beds and deserve a hundred years of socialism. We don't have an 18 trillion dollar debt because we don't tax enough, we have an 18 trillion dollar debt because we spend too much. I just buy pizza dough at Trader Joes or even the local grocery. Great for making whole wheat cheese zombies which I have fun talking about on another group totally unrelated to anything TM other than they are horror fans. Being they are a bit down on anything woo-woo I had to coin a label for the place and that got Barry going. The group is open for reading. Like this one you don't need to be a member to read it. People seem to get too serious sometimes on these groups whereas sitting at a table in a restaurant reactions to the same words would be different and more jovial. MD, Rand Paul is running on reducing taxes. But the Republicans don't seem to resonate with his message. As such, Paul's presidential bid is losing to the likes of Donald Trump and others. Re: [FairfieldLife] Top 15 Worst Cities to Live in the USA
A friend of mine from Seattle told me that it has changed significantly since I left in 2004. But I prefer to remember Pike's Place Market the way it was, particularly the small restaurants that I used to eat in for lunch. IMO, San Francisco will always be here in spite of the earthquake danger. There is a historic and economic reason why it exists and flourishes in the peninsula. On the other hand, there are several companies in the Silicon Valley who have moved to Reno, NV mainly because the city is offering land, space and NO taxes. IMO, Reno made a good move since the gambling business is being affected by the competing Native American casinos near the big cities in California. ---In FairfieldLife@yahoogroups.com, noozguru@... wrote : Ol' Glenn boy would really hate to live in a Blue City. [FairfieldLife] The future of film
I like a current chocolate ad on British TV which features Audrey Hepburn - kinda. I had a debate with my sister the other day on whether the makers of the ad had used a look-a-like model (my belief) whereas my sister thought the footage was from a genuine old film featuring Hepburn. We were both wrong. It seems the makers used face-recognition software and then made the ad using nothing but CGI. The effect is stunning. This led me to ruminate that the day could soon come when a feature film could be downloaded in which the viewer could choose which stars they would prefer in the lead role : Cary Grant/Grace Kelly; Bogart/Bacall; Connery/Ursula Andress; . . . And not far off maybe the day will arrive in which you can decide to have yourself and partner as the stars! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gx9eDoS76LM https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gx9eDoS76LM

Re: [FairfieldLife] Top 15 Worst Cities to Live in the USA
The Bay Area particularly many East Bay cities blocked development because they didn't want the urban sprawl like Los Angeles has. Accordingly housing prices went up including rents. In the late 1990s there was talk of building high speed rail between the Bay Area and Central Valley where the maintenance workers for the tech plants could afford to live. So we said let the tech companies pay for it. Nope, they didn't want to. It looks like Amazon is spread out all over Seattle and sounds like a horrible company to work for (read the article I posted yesterday). I once had a phone interview with one of the Amazon tech labs (located in the Bay Area). These go badly because the smartasses who give the interviews are like robots and narrow minded. Besides I wasn't interested in being a programming grunt. I'm more suited to herd them. Yes, pretty regularly. At the theater that shows a lot of Indie films, there's a guy or a gal who comes out before the show, and introduces himself, or herself as the projectionist, and says a few things. That's rather nice. Last week we saw MI (whichever), in the theater with reserved and reclining seats. My wife particularly enjoyed that film. Theaters ain't going away anytime soon. [FairfieldLife] Re: TM is the Best-est,
Very good insight as usual. Not many people could pick up on the difference between moral reasoning and ethical reasoning, but you have. For decades now, you have been consistent in holding the TMO’s feet to the fire in pointing out its lack of ethical reasoning, while always holding yourself to the highest standards of ethical behavior. Particularly since you became the owner of FFL. You’ve had the moral courage to ethically ban those who have chosen not to follow the Yahoo guidelines, and not once have you ever flinched from publicly explaining your ethical reasoning in FFL. Not even waiting to be asked to do so. And while some of those banned feebly attempted to besmirch your character, any reasonable person can see that you’ve simply been using the highest standards of ethical reasoning. Some have even said that you banned them only because you did not like what they were saying about you. How ridiculous, and how completely contrary to who you are as a highly ethical person. If only the TMO’s ethical reasoning could be as high as yours. ---In FairfieldLife@yahoogroups.com, dhamiltony2k5@... wrote : I see they stop just short of using words like, 'supreme' or 'royal' meditation for their own practice.
