Not necessarily. That's just one of the theories of how the universe will end. There's one theory similar to the Big Rip which states that the galaxies at the edge of the universe will eventually reach the speed of light and will disappear from our observable horizon. At the speed of light, the activity of those galaxies will freeze and time will stop for anyone or anything in it. For all practical purpose, those galaxies will have turned into light. Many of the uber rich have their token charities and projects which are there for PR purposes. Mark Zuckerberg and his wife are funding some educational programs in the SF Bay Area while demanding more H1B Visas to bring in cheap yes men foreign employees. See the problem? [FairfieldLife] Re: Rise of the Cultural Libertarians
Let's hope they win this war. I should say we win rather than they win as cultural libertarian pretty much describes my position. In the presence of self-described left-wing libertarians I tend to feel like a right-wing libertarian; in the presence of self-described right-wing libertarians I tend to feel like a left-wing libertarian. Just the other day we learned that a proposed showing of Mohammed cartoons in London has been cancelled (as everyone knew it would be) as all the venues contacted were concerned about the security of their staff. Using Nadi astrology principles, his birth chart shows a complicated way to winning the presidency since his major period lord (Jupiter) is placed in the inauspicious 8th house. However, the cusp lord is Rahu and is placed in the 10th house of career. So, in effect, the weak Jupiter manifested in the recent death of his son, but the Rahu connection can propel him to run for the presidency and could beat Hillary Clinton, Bernie Sanders and any of the Republican candidates. Why? Because the US natal chart will be running its Rahu period during the presidential election as well. It would appear that his platform would be rather controversial which would support issues favoring undocumented aliens, planned parenthood, same-sex marriage, LGBTQ rights, raising taxes for the rich, and reduction of the national debt. He will favor a tough mandate to fight against terrorism and encourage the development of high technology industries-- possibly including the colonization of Mars. Family feud? [FairfieldLife] Rise of the Cultural Libertarians
Rise of the Cultural Libertarians by Allum Bokhari A new force is emerging in the culture wars. Authoritarians of all stripes, from religious reactionaries to left-wing “social justice warriors,” are coming under fire from a new wave of thinkers, commentators, and new media stars who reject virtually all of their political values. From the banning of Charlie Hebdo magazine across British university campuses on the grounds that it promoted islamophobia, to the removal of the video game Grand Theft Auto V from major retailers in Australia on the grounds that it promoted sexism, threats to cultural freedom proliferate. But a growing number of commentators, media personalities and academics reject the arguments that underpin these assaults on free expression, in particular the idea that people are either too emotionally fragile to deal with “offense” or too corruptible to be exposed to dangerous ideas. There are many ways this can go but it was inevitable that something had to give. Whether this is the time or it gets temporarily resolved until next year time will tell. But it is a pattern that has to play out. What would you want? The same ol' same ol' inequality? Stock markets crashing is certainly not the answer to solving anything. It can be a temporary leveling of a playing field if it is as severe as the one in 1929. Other than that it will take a wholesale revamping of the economic system in North America for any long lasting and significant reform to happen. When something falters it often just takes time for things to build again. Do I wish there was more equality in the economic status of my fellow human beings? You bet I do but it would take a full scale revolution and the establishment of old school Communism to make this happen and even then you'll have the greedy guts living high on the hog (through illicit gains) in both the military and the government. There will always be those who feel they deserve more than the next guy and will do anything to ensure they get it. Making lots of money is not the problem. Human nature can be a problem and how they choose to spend that money is more often than not completely self centered and frivolous. On 08/24/2015 07:12 PM, awoelflebater@... mailto:awoelflebater@... Using the ideas from Roger Penrose, it is possible that the universe will once again explode into another Big Bang eons after all of the universe have gained the speed of light or have turned into light. https://cosmosmagazine.com/space/universe-slowly-fading-away #yiv7666849789 #yiv7666849789 -- #yiv7666849789ygrp-mkp {border:1px solid #d8d8d8;font-family:Arial;margin:10px 0;padding:0 10px;}#yiv7666849789 #yiv7666849789ygrp-mkp hr {border:1px solid #d8d8d8;}#yiv7666849789 #yiv7666849789ygrp-mkp #yiv7666849789hd {color:#628c2a;font-size:85%;font-weight:700;line-height:122%;margin:10px 0;}#yiv7666849789 #yiv7666849789ygrp-mkp #yiv7666849789ads {margin-bottom:10px;}#yiv7666849789 #yiv7666849789ygrp-mkp .yiv7666849789ad {padding:0 0;}#yiv7666849789 #yiv7666849789ygrp-mkp .yiv7666849789ad p {margin:0;}#yiv7666849789 #yiv7666849789ygrp-mkp .yiv7666849789ad a {color:#ff;text-decoration:none;}#yiv7666849789 #yiv7666849789ygrp-sponsor #yiv7666849789ygrp-lc {font-family:Arial;}#yiv7666849789 #yiv7666849789ygrp-sponsor #yiv7666849789ygrp-lc #yiv7666849789hd {margin:10px 0px;font-weight:700;font-size:78%;line-height:122%;}#yiv7666849789 #yiv7666849789ygrp-sponsor #yiv7666849789ygrp-lc .yiv7666849789ad {margin-bottom:10px;padding:0 0;}#yiv7666849789 #yiv7666849789actions {font-family:Verdana;font-size:11px;padding:10px 0;}#yiv7666849789 #yiv7666849789activity {background-color:#e0ecee;float:left;font-family:Verdana;font-size:10px;padding:10px;}#yiv7666849789 #yiv7666849789activity span {font-weight:700;}#yiv7666849789 #yiv7666849789activity span:first-child {text-transform:uppercase;}#yiv7666849789 #yiv7666849789activity span a {color:#5085b6;text-decoration:none;}#yiv7666849789 #yiv7666849789activity span span {color:#ff7900;}#yiv7666849789 #yiv7666849789activity span .yiv7666849789underline {text-decoration:underline;}#yiv7666849789 .yiv7666849789attach {clear:both;display:table;font-family:Arial;font-size:12px;padding:10px 0;width:400px;}#yiv7666849789 .yiv7666849789attach div a {text-decoration:none;}#yiv7666849789 .yiv7666849789attach img {border:none;padding-right:5px;}#yiv7666849789 .yiv7666849789attach label {display:block;margin-bottom:5px;}#yiv7666849789 .yiv7666849789attach label a {text-decoration:none;}#yiv7666849789 blockquote {margin:0 0 0 4px;}#yiv7666849789 .yiv7666849789bold {font-family:Arial;font-size:13px;font-weight:700;}#yiv7666849789 .yiv7666849789bold a {text-decoration:none;}#yiv7666849789 dd.yiv7666849789last p a {font-family:Verdana;font-weight:700;}#yiv7666849789 dd.yiv7666849789last p span {margin-right:10px;font-family:Verdana;font-weight:700;}#yiv7666849789 dd.yiv7666849789last p span.yiv7666849789yshortcuts {margin-right:0;}#yiv7666849789 div.yiv7666849789attach-table div div a {text-decoration:none;}#yiv7666849789 div.yiv7666849789attach-table {width:400px;}#yiv7666849789 div.yiv7666849789file-title a, #yiv7666849789 div.yiv7666849789file-title a:active, #yiv7666849789 div.yiv7666849789file-title a:hover, #yiv7666849789 div.yiv7666849789file-title a:visited {text-decoration:none;}#yiv7666849789 div.yiv7666849789photo-title a, #yiv7666849789 div.yiv7666849789photo-title a:active, #yiv7666849789 div.yiv7666849789photo-title a:hover, #yiv7666849789 div.yiv7666849789photo-title a:visited {text-decoration:none;}#yiv7666849789 div#yiv7666849789ygrp-mlmsg #yiv7666849789ygrp-msg p a span.yiv7666849789yshortcuts {font-family:Verdana;font-size:10px;font-weight:normal;}#yiv7666849789 .yiv7666849789green {color:#628c2a;}#yiv7666849789 .yiv7666849789MsoNormal {margin:0 0 0 0;}#yiv7666849789 o {font-size:0;}#yiv7666849789 #yiv7666849789photos div {float:left;width:72px;}#yiv7666849789 #yiv7666849789photos div div {border:1px solid #66;height:62px;overflow:hidden;width:62px;}#yiv7666849789 #yiv7666849789photos div label {color:#66;font-size:10px;overflow:hidden;text-align:center;white-space:nowrap;width:64px;}#yiv7666849789 #yiv7666849789reco-category {font-size:77%;}#yiv7666849789 #yiv7666849789reco-desc {font-size:77%;}#yiv7666849789 .yiv7666849789replbq {margin:4px;}#yiv7666849789 #yiv7666849789ygrp-actbar div a:first-child {margin-right:2px;padding-right:5px;}#yiv7666849789
