 Tegmark recently said that consciousness is a state of matter.  As such, he 
can eliminate the hard question of consciousness.   He can very easily resolve 
the problem with  objective reductionism--if what he says is true.

IOW, Tegmark may have received his tenure already, so he can be goofy as he 
wants or not saying anything at all.  But he wants to known in the scientific 
community as a genius or a groundbreaker.  Perhaps, one day he will reveal to 
everyone the mathematical equations justifying the Big Bang or the multiverse.

The idea in academic circles is to come up with an idea just outside of the 
envelope of acceptability but no so far out that your Dept heads kick you out.  
That way you can hit the mainstream news where journalists get duped into 
thinking the idea is revolutionary, when in reality it's only crap.  Happens 
all the time, especially with Tegmark. But if you already have established

The purpose of the Electoral College vote was to keep a few larger states from
