Scientists who believe this are wrong.  It should be the other way around.
Conscious is the basis of everything in the universe.  They should use common
sense and reason to understand the mechanics of Nature.
You forgot to add, And I know all of this to be true because I paid tens of
thousands of dollars to a brown-skinned man in white robes who assured me both
that everything he said was Truth Incarnate and that I was better than other
people because I knew it and they didn't.

I'm just making the point that your arguments above would be stronger if you
presented the actual reasons you believe them. No need to thank me...I'm just
trying to help...

Materialism: a form of philosophical monism which holds that matter is the
fundamental substance in nature, and that all phenomena, including mental
phenomena and consciousness, are the result of material interactions.

Non sequitur.

Obviously consciousness is prior to everything else in the cosmos. In fact,
consciousness is all there is in the universe. The only certainty you have is
that you are self-conscious that you exist. Time, space and physicality occur
within consciousness, not the other way around.

As a matter of fact, the higher dimensions above space-time can be considered
as the seven states of consciousness taught by MMY.
