Re: [FairfieldLife] GOPers Flee Trump
"Virtually no Republican will vote for Hillary". Well, she has been on track to win the election from Day One, so some of those votes will have to come from a lot of Republicans. Face it, there is no 'army of Christian soldiers' ready to 'take the country back'. It is a fantasy concocted by those who refuse to see the way this country is headed. Not into isolation and the rigidity of religious dogma, but rather as it always has been, as a world player, with our messy democracy, open to all ideas and ways of living. Those who would attempt to pull this nation under a rock are dwindling, headed by a knuckle-dragger, who's time has long passed. If you think for a moment that the Republican women and daughters who heard Trump's latest outrage against them, to be grabbed by their genitalia, because Trump is just being Trump, and will still cast a ballot for this creep, this rapist, you have a naive and shallow view of women. It will be a landslide victory for Hillary. It is not in the headlines that this will be played out, but on the ground, and Donnie as usual wants to wing it, with no money spent in critical states. Maybe he can form a motel bar band after he loses, called, "Donnie and the Deplorables". :-) ---In FairfieldLife@yahoogroups.com, wrote : John, nobody is fleeing Trump. ---In FairfieldLife@yahoogroups.com, wrote : John, nobody is fleeing Trump. Republican's *running from* Trump do so for their own advantage. True, it's for their own advantage, but they certainly are fleeing him. Not only are they fleeing him, many of them are calling for him to step down. When Republican's, conservative and moderate, walk into the voting booth, do you think they're going to vote for Hillary? Who cares? Their votes are a minuscule percentage of the total. They are thinking long term. Supreme Court nominations, to be precise. They would rather die first than surrender that to Hillary, who'll probably have at least two, maybe three picks. Virtually no Republican will vote for Hillary. They'll talk the talk, that liberal women want to hear, Men don't have a vote? then walk into the voting booth and pull a straight Republican ticket, Trump and all. This public rebuke of Trump by Republican Senators and Congressmen running for their seats, is a show. It's not planned but is their only choice. Actually it was planned. However , when they're in the voting booth alone, nobody is watching and they are thinking of future Supreme Court nominations, not if they are being Politically Correct. Again, who cares? Their votes aren't going to make a difference. What Republicans are really worried about is not GOP voters voting for Hillary, but those voters staying home and not voting at all.
